Quick Tip on How To Be Awesome
Some people think that to introduce you yourself to your new neighbors, you should show up with cookies or wine or whatnot.
Losers.
Much better, I say, to lock yourself out on your balcony. In your new long johns. With bunnies on them.
And have to shout out, "Hello? Hello? Can you help me? I am locked on my balcony?"
And have your neighbors call the locksmith for you.
Much, much better.
Just a quick tip from me to you.

All you need to do now is host a housewarming that involves the police being called, someone barfing over the side of said balcony, and damage to someone else's property; then I think you'll definitely have that winning new neighbour status down ;o)

love that story. i have a similar one - not as good as yours though - that involved the neighbour downstairs climbing his balcony to get on to mine and then into my apartment to let me in. turns out he was a weirdo. sigh.

Oh dear. If it makes you feel any better, I made my parents friends with their neighbors *almost* the exact same way. I went out into the yard in my very sexy pajamas (I believe way too baggy sweat pants and a big ol' t-shirt with no bra) and locked myself out. I headed over to Barbara and Gene's across the street who had moved in maybe a month earlier. They hadn't met my parents just yet. They're all good friends now.
See, it works! Lock outs are the BEST method ever for friendship building.

As long as you weren't wearing them under a skirt, or by themselves with flats (as the Target model demonstrates), I'd say you're in the clear. Ditto on wanting more pictures! And your address so I can send you goodies...

I will have you know that it is your fault that I ended up in Target last week and spent way more money than I had planned. All because I realized with now cold weather, I desperately wanted some flannel PJs. OK. So maybe it isn't your fault.
